Watch: Canada wildfire smoke drifts into US and across the Atlantic

Smoke from various active wildfires in Canada has been spreading south into the US, affecting air quality in many states, including Minnesota. Maps and satellite imagery show the large-scale impact of the blazes, as smoke also drifts East across the Atlantic Ocean.

At least 3.4 million acres (1.4m hectares) have burned nationwide amid unusually hot, dry conditions. Flames burning in Manitoba have forced thousands to evacuate.
