Mrs Hinch devastated after 'cruel' jewellery theft

Mrs Hinch has revealed how "cruel" thieves broke into her mum's home and stole jewellery that belonged to her late dad.

The influencer, whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, has been sharing her cleaning tips and hacks on social media for several years and now has 4.8 million followers on Instagram.

The thieves allegedly took items including rings from the home in Maldon, Essex, some time between 10:00 and 18:00 GMT on Tuesday.

In a post on Instagram on Tuesday, Hinchliffe said: "She has already lost her husband and is trying to piece her life back together, and you chose to violate her home and rip away what little she had left of him."

Essex Police has been contacted for comment by the BBC.

Hinchliffe's statement continued: "That jewellery may be worthless to you, but it is priceless to my mum.

"You knew exactly what you were doing. This is beyond theft!! It is cruel, disgusting and cowardly."

The 35-year-old has urged the thieves to "do the right thing" and return the jewellery anonymously.
