Smoke rises over Beirut after air strikes on Monday.

Iranian strikes on targets across the Middle East and Gulf regions continued on Monday, after the US and Israel launched strikes on Iran killing the country's supreme leader.

Strikes have been reported in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar and Saudi Arabia. An Iranian drone also hit a British RAF base in Cyprus with two more later intercepted.

At least 31 people were reported dead in Lebanon on Monday after Israel carried out strikes against Hezbollah targets. It came after the group fired rockets at the Israeli city of Haifa. An Iranian missile hit people sheltering in a city in Israel the day before, killing nine, emergency services said.

At least 555 people have been killed in the US-Israel operation in Iran, the Iranian Red Crescent said. Four US service personnel were killed and five left seriously injured during the assault.

Donald Trump has since warned that combat operations will continue with "full force" until all of Washington's objectives are achieved.

Where have Israel and the US attacked?

The Israeli military announced extensive joint strikes with the US over the weekend, destroying air defences in western and central Iran.

Verified videos from the Iranian capital Tehran showed large plumes of smoke rising above the city on Saturday.

BBC Verify obtained satellite imagery taken that morning, which showed significant damage to part of the compound of Leadership House, the office of Khamenei.

Israel's military said its strikes on Tehran had targeted gatherings of senior political and security figures.

BBC Verify has so far confirmed visual evidence of strikes on 13 different locations in Tehran, and 12 other towns and cities across Iran.

At least 153 people were killed at a girls' school in Minab in the south of the country when it was hit by three missiles on Saturday, Iranian state media reported. The BBC has not been able to independently verify this.

Military sites were targeted in Kermanshah and Tabriz, and Iranian naval facilities in Konarak in the south of the country.

US President Donald Trump said US forces had sunk 10 Iranian naval ships and "largely destroyed" their naval headquarters.

On Monday Israel announced it was carrying out strikes in both Iran and Lebanon after Hezbollah launched missiles overnight on Haifa.

Israel's air assault targeted Hezbollah's stronghold in the southern suburbs of Beirut and areas close to the city's airport, as well as sites in southern Lebanon.

Iran has retaliated with strikes on Israel and US bases in the region, and has been blamed for air attacks on Gulf states.

New Iranian strikes were reported on a major gas plant in Qatar, where the Ministry of Defense later said it had shot down two Iranian aircraft, seven missiles and five drones.

In the United Arab Emirates (UAE), which includes the tourist destinations of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, three people have been killed and several left injured, the country's defence ministry said on Sunday.

Kuwait's health ministry reported one death on Sunday. The Ali Al-Salem airbase was targeted by a number of ballistic missiles which were successfully intercepted, officials say.

The country's military downed three US fighter jets on Monday in "an apparent friendly fire incident", the US Central Command said. All six crew ejected safely and have been recovered, it says.

In neighbouring Iraq, three drones were reportedly downed on Monday over Irbil airport which hosts US-led coalition troops.

Bahrain's National Communication Centre said on Saturday that the service centre of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet had been "subjected to a missile attack".

Also in Bahrain, one verified clip, filmed from a moving vehicle, shows the moment a missile strikes. An explosion follows, sending fragments and debris into the air.

On Sunday evening a drone strike on the US naval base caused a major fire, one official told the BBC, but there were no reports of casualties.

Four people have been wounded by Iranian attacks in Bahrain, the official added.
