Scotland will host England at Hampden next year to mark the first ever international match between the two sides in 1872.
The September encounter will be the first game between the pair since a goalless draw at Wembley at Euro 2020.
The last time they met at Hampden in 2017, Scotland's Leigh Griffiths scored two late free-kicks only for Harry Kane to level late on in a 2-2 draw.
"This fixture is enshrined in history," said Scotland manager Steven Clarke.
"I will be proud to lead our team out at Hampden as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations of our national game.
"This next chapter of the oldest rivalry in football will be a special occasion for our players and fans, especially after the recent experience at Wembley during Uefa Euro 2020."
Scotland and England's meeting in 1872 at the West of Scotland Cricket Ground in Glasgow is recognised by Fifa as the world's oldest international, with the game finishing 0-0.
