Rangers will find out at noon on Friday whether they will face Bodo/Glimt or Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce in the last 16 of the Europa League.
Norwegians Bodo/Glimt progressed to the draw after Thursday's thrilling 6-4 aggregate win after extra time over Twente, while the Turkish side overcame Anderlecht 5-2 in a game marred by fighting among rivals fans and reports of racist chanting.
Rangers had advanced directly to the last 16 after finishing in the top eight following the competition's new league stage.
The match in Brussels was suspended for 15 minutes after the sides were led from the pitch by the referee shortly after Youssef En-Nesyri had put Fenerbahce 1-0 ahead on the night.
Although Luis Vazquez's double gave Anderlecht a glimmer of hope after the game had resumed, Yusuf Akcicek's header ensured Mourinho's side avoided defeat.
Meanwhile, Bodo/Glimt and Twente, who had on-loan Celtic centre-half Gustaf Lagerbielke in their starting line-up, struck three times between them in stoppage time as the Norwegian champions secured a thrilling 5-2 win on the night.
The Dutch visitors extended their 2-1 first-leg advantage through Fredrik Sjovold's first-half own goal before Kasper Hogh's second-half penalty reduced the deficit.
Bodo/Glimt appeared to be heading out, but Mees Hilger's own goal in added time drew them level on aggregate.
Brice Wembangomo then put them ahead, only for Sem Steijn's effort for Twente in the sixth minute of added time to send the tie to extra time.
Sondre Fet struck for Bodo/Glimt in the 111th minute and then Arno Verschueren's own goal - the third of the match - sealed victory for the Norwegians.
Friday's draw will decide whether Bodo/Glimt or Fenerbahce face Rangers or Olympiakos of Greece.
The first legs will be played on 10 April and the second legs a week later.
Bodo/Glimt have faced Scottish opposition once, beating Celtic home and away for a 5-1 aggregate win in the Europa League play-off round three years ago.
Fenerbahce drew with Celtic home and away in the Europa League group stage in 2015 and beat Rangers 2-1 on aggregate in the Champions League third qualifying round in 2001.
If Rangers are drawn against Bodo/Glimt, they would have the opportunity to reach a quarter-final involving Viktoria Plzen of Czech Republic against either Lazio or Athletic Bilboa.
Should they be drawn with Fenerbahce, the winners of that tie would face Roma or Lazio/Athletic Bilboa.
