Portsmouth scoreJoe Pigott was on hand to score Portsmouth's third and put the tie beyond doubt

Portsmouth came from behind to beat non-league Hereford at Edgar Street and progress to the second round of the FA Cup.

For seven minutes, Hereford were ahead after Miles Storey put the sixth-tier outfit in front against the team 81 places above them in the English football pyramid in League One.

But Pompey hit back, with Reeco Hackett quickly levelling before second-half goals from Colby Bishop and substitute Joe Pigott earned the Hampshire side a safe passage to Monday's second-round draw.

Nothing about the Wednesday V Morecambe match on this page.
The usual shocking coverage from the BBC.
An organisation that tells us how magical the FA Cup is.
You really couldn't make it up!

Great 1st half outplayed in the 2nd brilliant to see Hereford in the limelight. And so apt that Miles Storey No 11 scored in the week the legend Ronnie Radford No 11 passed away

Good performance from Hereford. All the best to them. Pompey were just better on the night.

Really hope Hereford can start climbing the divisions! Love that club! I reckon during the World Cup we should loan them Haaland and Mahrez!

DESPITE what Radford did to the Toon 50 years ago AND it being shown EVERY year after, still got a soft spot for the bulls, the one's each they got at St James was a real jobby. I like Pompey too so shame about Hereford not getting any more F.A cup cash but this should have been a nice little earner.

Good effort from Hereford, in the game for a long while, no shame in losing to Pompey.
