An opposition leader in Chad has been killed during a shootout with security forces, a state prosecutor says.
Yaya Dillo's death comes after the government blamed his party for a deadly attack on the country's security agency, which Mr Dillo denied.
On Wednesday, heavy gunfire was heard near his party's headquarters in the capital city.
Prosecutor Oumar Mahamat Kedelaye confirmed Mr Dillo's death on Thursday.
