Marc Marquez made it consecutive victories to start the 2025 MotoGP season as he took first place at the Argentina Grand Prix.

The six-time world champion finished ahead of his brother Alex for a second successive race, having also won the sprint race earlier in the weekend.

Spaniard Marc had secured his 96th pole at Termas de Rio Hondo, but trailed his younger sibling for much of the race before fighting back to take his 90th career win. That also put him third for all-time victories, alongside 13-time world champion Angel Nieto, and only Giacomo Agostini and Valentino Rossi ahead.

Making a perfect start to life with his new team Ducati, the 32-year-old Marquez finished 1.362 seconds clear of Alex, while Italian Franco Morbidelli finished third.

Marc leads the riders' standings with 74 points, a strong start to his attempt to secure his first world title since 2019 and match Italian Rossi's seven world titles.

The season continues with the Grand Prix of the Americas at Circuit of the Americas, Austin on Sunday, 30 March.
