Brighton would be willing to sell striker Evan Ferguson in the January transfer window if they receive a suitable offer.

Ferguson has an ankle injury but has not been a significant part of Fabian Hurzeler's squad when fit.

The Republic of Ireland forward has made 12 Premier League appearances this season but 10 of those have been as a substitute.

The 20-year-old's only goal this season was in the draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers in October.

That is his only goal since November 2023, as the form that shot him to prominence in the 2022-23 campaign and led to him being nominated for the PFA Young Player of the Year award has deserted him.

Brighton had been looking at loan options for Ferguson but a sale is now thought to be possible, although one offer from another Premier League has already been rejected.

Numerous top-flight English clubs - including Arsenal and West Ham United - are looking for a central striker, while German champions Bayer Leverkusen have also been mentioned in connection with Ferguson.
